KTVN TV Channel 2 in Reno will feature a story tonight at 5 p.m. by Erin Breen regarding actor Kevin Costner and his involvement in a Carson City tech company's efforts to develop solutions to help with the Gulf Coast oil spill problem.
The main piece by Breen will air during KTVN's 5 p.m. news program, with segments at 6:30 and 11 p.m. It will feature Brett Sheldon, CEO of Carson City-based CINC Industries.
Last week Costner spoke to Congress about the development of the technology created initially by Costner Industries Nevada Corporation.
Costner's name surfaced last month when stories were written about him in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times regarding the development of centrifuge technology conceived by the actor 15 years ago while working on the movie "Waterworld" and created, in part, at the Carson City tech company. Breen's story will explain how some of the technology came to be.
