CARSON CITY – It’s AAA to the rescue. The membership-based organization known for its century-old roadside assistance will honor local rescue and emergency personnel during a party scheduled for May 17 at its Carson City location.
The event is slated for 11am to 3pm at 2901 S. Carson St. (between the Super 8 motel and Dodge dealership off Highway 395 on the south end of town.)
AAA is hosting the Carson City Sheriff’s Department, which is expected to bring out its K9 unit. The fire department for Nevada’s capital city will also bring an engine to display. (The unit is subject to responding to emergency response.)
United Blood Services will set up its unit for blood donation, with raffle prices and a barbecue for presenting donors.
As a bonus in recognition of its current promotion, the Reno Aces’ mascot, Archie, will deliver giveaways relative to the minor league baseball team based in Reno. AAA sponsors the minor league champions of the Pacific Coast League.
Backed by four insurance agents and support staff, AAA offers a wide variety of products and services relative to travel and insurance.
