Featured Band: Coming together from a variety of local projects and backgrounds, the five members of UNDER THE RADAR have created a composite tone that provides a niche sound of Jazz/Funk/Rock/Blues.
The music of Under the Radar's, Dallas Phillips - sax, David "Fez" Duffie - bass, Corey Lanum - keys, Richard John - guitar, and Carson City's own "O" - drums, has been influenced by such bands as Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, The Crusaders, Herbie Hancock, Santana, Hendrix, Average White Band, Miles Davis, David Sanborn and Grover Washington Jr.
This band will be creating a flow that can take you from blues style to upbeat funk vibration then to a unique jazz rock jam at the drop of a dime - from 8 to 10pm tonight, Aug 16, on the 3rd St. Stage
