Carson girls sink long shot for win

RENO – There's a saying that goes something like when everybody else about you is losing their head. you're the only one who's keeping yours.
Maybe Kate Schulz didn't know any better, but she hit one of the biggest shots of the season for the Carson High girls basketball team. With CHS clinging to a 48-47 lead, Schulz calmly nailed her only shot of the game from the right corner for a three-pointer to give the Senators a 51-47 lead and Carson went on to win at Damonte Ranch 55-49 on Tuesday.
