A man with a stab wound to the back was taken to a Reno hospital via Careflight after being located by sheriff's deputies in Carson City.
According to initial reports from the scene, officers believe the stabbing took place in Gardnerville, and the victim was driven to Fuji Park where he was put into another vehicle, an older model red Mercury Mystique.
The call came into dispatch at 1:42 this afternoon. A report came in from a citizen who witnessed the exchange and a bloody vehicle. Deputies located the car, the victim and a female occupant of the car on Roundhouse Lane off of Saliman Road.
The victim had a stab wound to the back and was transported to Carson City Airport where Careflight took him to Reno.
Detectives are on the scene investigating, and no suspect has been named.
